Upper East CCR&R provides free training and technical assistance to child care educators across the state to improve the quality of child care for all children.

Technical Assistance

CCR&R Quality Coaches can assist child care programs create safe, inclusive developmentally appropriate environments for children, and provide guidance strategies on behavior management.

Training Workshops

Classes on a variety of topics are scheduled in the evenings, afternoons, and Saturdays and count toward professional development hours.

Tennessee Department of Education Tennessee’s Early Intervention System is a voluntary educational program for families with children birth through age two with disabilities or developmental delays.
The principles of Early Intervention are to:
– Support families in promoting their child’s optimal development
– Facilitate the child’s participation in family and community activities.

Nurse-Family Partnership Becoming a mom for the first time can be a bit overwhelming. No joke – there’s a lot to learn. So imagine having your own personal nurse.
Nurse-Family Partnership can make that happen. Tennessee Department of Health The Child Health and Development Program is a home based prevention/intervention program that has been in existence for over 40 years. The program is designed to support parents by providing child development and parenting education. Tennessee Department of Health Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute (MBMHI) is a psychiatric hospital that serves 52 counties in East Tennessee. It was founded in 1961 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The hospital offers 4 acute psychiatric care units and 2 long-term care units, comprising a total of 150 adult psychiatric beds.
